The Solution To Babies Who Kick Their Blankets

Sarah Ong Product Review

I don’t know about your baby but both my children HATE it when I place a blanket over them when they sleep. Even when they are already asleep and I pull the light comforter over them, they will kick them away sometime during their sleep. I always got worried if they would get too cold in the air conditioned room overnight. Of course, the alternative is not to have the aircond on, but don’t you agree the weather has been sooo humid lately? They can’t sleep well without the aircond and would wake up from the heat and humidity.

So what did I do? Well I left the aircond at the most comfortable temperature BUT I always found their skin a little cold in the morning. I just didn’t know how to tackle this.

NOW, I finally found a solution to this. It’s Snoozaboo baby sleep bag!

What’s a baby sleep bag?

It’s a modern alternative to a regular blanket. It can’t be kicked off, so it keeps baby at a comfortable temperature all night long. What I LOVE about it is that it is made of premium 100% cotton, highly breathable and perfect for our warm tropical climate. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. I didn’t think she would like wearing the sleep bag because knowing her spirited temperament, I thought she would find the sleep bag too confining. Furthermore, she’s already 2 years old. I would think it would be more difficult to introduce something new at this age.

Look at how happy she is 😀

However, when I first put it on for her in the morning to test it out, she loved it so much she stayed in the sleep bag the whole time I helped her elder sister in the shower! *disbelief* I think it makes her feel like a baby and boy does she love to be babied. I was still unsure if she would want to wear it through the night, so I thought I’d give it a shot that night. She ended up wearing it until the next morning. *thrilled*

The whole of next day, she kept asking to be put into the sleep bag even though it wasn’t sleepy time yet. LOL.

When she delays going to bed, I just remind her of her sleep bag and she immediately cooperates. That’s not all. The best part is, when she’s all cocooned up in it while winding down after lights out, she falls asleep in 10 minutes. Awesomenessss.

So parents, if you have the same problem as I had with the blanket, try Snoozaboo baby sleep bag! It comes in many lovely designs and it fits baby from 0-36 months of age. For very young babies, this can also work as an alternative to swaddling and at the same time safe from SIDS.

*note: safe sleeping must be practiced eg. baby sleeps on back, no blankets or toys in his cot, use firm and flat mattress etc.

Overall, I’m happy and a believer with this sleep bag and it’ll go under my favorite things for babies. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to any parents who would like to introduce a safe sleeping aide for their baby.
